Vendor Management and Inventory Expert

The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned professional with a strong background in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of vendor management processes to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
  • Negotiate strategic agreements with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service terms.
  • Develop and maintain group-wide price agreements for high-value medical supplies, ensuring seamless procurement operations across all units.
  • Manage vendor relationships, focusing on performance, delivery, and compliance within vendor-managed inventory operations.
  • Ensure the smooth implementation and operation of vendor-managed inventory systems across all hospital units.
  • Oversee the timely receipt of credit notes and Trade Offer Discounts from vendors.
  • Implement, monitor, and audit standard operating procedures related to vendor management for all units.
  • Track and reconcile vendor-managed inventory stock across all units to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Lead the development of brand recommendations based on clinical, financial, and operational inputs.
  • Monitor compliance with brand recommendations and measure resulting cost savings.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory guidelines to prevent any legal or regulatory non-compliances.
  • Proactively address and prevent audit observations and risks related to vendor management practices.
  • Develop and implement a markup policy for vendor-managed items in line with pricing strategy.
  • Maintain and update a discount tracker to ensure visibility, transparency, and realization of negotiated benefits.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management, preferably in a healthcare/hospital environment.
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiations, compliance, and SOP implementation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare procurement dynamics, regulatory requirements, and vendor management models.
