Design Innovator

As a Senior Textile Designer, you will play a key role in driving creative vision and developing new carpet collections. You will mentor junior designers and ensure successful design execution on looms.

You will work closely with field teams and master weavers to guide aesthetic direction for both domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing original carpet and rug designs that align with the brand's creative vision and market trends.
  • Leading the conceptualization and design of seasonal collections and special projects.
  • Translating design briefs into production-ready outputs (graph making, colorways, yarn selection).
  • Collaborating closely with field teams and regularly visiting villages to guide weavers during sampling and prototyping.
  • Providing creative direction and hands-on mentoring to junior and assistant designers.

Requirements include:

  • A degree or diploma in textile design, carpet design, fine arts, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in carpet/rug/textile design (handmade sector preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of weaving techniques, yarn types, color theory, and graph systems.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Texcelle, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, InDesign, or other AI tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to rural areas regularly for field implementation.
