Conversational Designer and LLM Trainer Roles

As a Conversational Designer and LLM Trainer, you will play a vital role in crafting and developing multi-turn conversations that simulate real interactions between users and AI assistants.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing Conversations: Create engaging, realistic dialogues that demonstrate natural language, intelligent behavior, and contextual understanding across multiple turns.
  • Emulating User and Assistant: Simulate both the user and the assistant, including the assistant's tool calls (only when corrections are needed).
  • Crafting Dialogues: Select and use tools logically to ensure proper usage of function calls, logical flow, and context-aware conversation.
  • Generating Examples: Showcase the assistant's ability to complete feasible tasks, recognize infeasible ones, and maintain engaging general chat when tools aren't required.
  • Iterating on Conversations: Collaborate with peers and reviewers to maintain consistency and high standards in deliverables, ensuring all conversations adhere to defined formatting and quality guidelines.

Requirements for success in this role include:

  • Technical Background: 3+ years of overall professional experience in a technical or analytical field.
  • Programming Language Experience: Any programming language or tech stack is acceptable; a strong grasp of APIs, data formats (e.g., JSON), and logical thinking is more critical than specific toolsets.
  • General Technical Reasoning Skills: Ability to model real-world assistant behavior using tool-based APIs and break down complex tasks into manageable parts.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and engaging written communication skills in English, with a focus on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence.
  • Creativity and Attention to Detail: Craft realistic scenarios and responses, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
  • LLM Experience: Experience working with or around LLMs, virtual assistants, or function-calling frameworks is a plus.
