Web Application Security Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Application Security professional to lead our efforts in researching, implementing and fine-tuning detections for vulnerabilities on all the latest web application technologies.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing efficient detection logic and payloads to detect vulnerabilities and CVEs with zero false positives. Your expertise in using industry-leading tools for web application security will play a key role in ensuring the success of our product.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest web application security trends and technologies. They will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vulnerability Detection: Research and implement detections for vulnerabilities on web application technologies, including fine-tuning existing logic and payloads to detect vulnerabilities and CVEs with zero false positives.
  • Tool Expertise: Utilize industry-leading tools for web application security, including network analysis tools and packet captures.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot complex security issues, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest web application security trends and technologies, including new threats and vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in web application security.
  • Strong JavaScript programming skills, with experience in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Knowledge of HTTP protocol (requests, responses, cookies, etc.) and understanding of web application vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with network analysis tools, packet captures, and web application firewalls (WAF) rules.
  • Proficient with regular expressions, database/SQL knowledge, and experience with various scanners and open-source security tools.
  • Ability to work independently, with a passion for web security and attention to detail.
