Job Title:

  • Web Application Security Specialist

About the Role:

This is a highly technical position that requires expertise in web application security. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and implementing detection methodologies for vulnerabilities on the latest web application technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, particularly in JavaScript, as well as knowledge of the HTTP protocol and web application vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities include fine-tuning existing logic and payloads to detect vulnerabilities and CVEs, utilizing industry-leading tools for efficient problem-solving and troubleshooting, and developing and maintaining web application security solutions.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in web application security
  • Expertise in JavaScript programming
  • Knowledge of HTTP protocol (requests, responses, cookies, etc.)
  • Understanding of web application vulnerabilities and OWASP top 10 in Web Applications
  • Experience with DAST/BlackBox tools and web application security scanning tools like BURP/ZAP, SQLMap, CURL
  • Proficiency in regular expressions and system administration on Windows or Unix platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with scripting languages including Python and Bash
  • Exposure to JAVA programming and web application firewalls (WAF) rules
  • Database/SQL knowledge and experience in developing security-related tools/programs
  • Ability to work independently and publish research
