Job Title: API Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled API procurement specialist to manage the entire process of procuring high-quality Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for our client.

About the Role:

The role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to secure cost-effective materials.

  • Identify and evaluate potential API suppliers globally in alignment with client needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements with vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, purchase orders, and supply contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and adherence to quality, delivery, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (quality assurance, regulatory, and supply chain) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Track market trends, supply risks, and alternative sourcing options to maintain a reliable supply base.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to foster trust and partnership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in API sourcing, procurement, or supplier management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Understanding of global regulatory requirements (USFDA, EMA, etc.) for API sourcing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
