Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop effective procurement strategies. You will also be responsible for building relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with excellent analytical and communication skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or International Trade
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CIPS, APICS, or SCMP would be advantageous
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that meet business objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and resolving issues
  • Analyze market trends and make recommendations to improve procurement processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including risk management and governance
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of IT applications, including SAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
