Job Title: Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled database specialist with strong expertise in database programming and data analysis to join our organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers, along with exposure to cloud-based databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using PL/pgSQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and cursors.
  • Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins, sub-queries, and merge operations.
  • Perform data analysis, query tuning, and indexing for performance optimization in cloud-based databases.
  • Automate and manage data loads using scripting methods and data load automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions align with business requirements.
  • Work on shell scripting and Linux-based automation for database-related tasks.
  • Ensure best practices for database performance, security, and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Primary Skills: SQL, database design, strong analytical skills.
  • Secondary Skills: Shell scripting and Linux.
  • Hands-on development experience in PL/pgSQL stored procedures, triggers, cursors, functions, and packages.
  • Strong understanding of SQL query design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud-based databases, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to data load automation tools.
