Job Title: Director of Cyber Security

Job Description:

Cyber security professionals oversee the safety and security of an organization's digital assets. Their key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust cybersecurity framework to safeguard against potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Third-Party Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in third-party relationships and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Application Security Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive application security testing plans to ensure that all software applications meet the required security standards.
  • Data Security: Design and implement data protection policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Internal & External Regulatory Audits & Compliance: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards by conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Information Security Awareness & Emergency Response: Develop and deploy training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and conduct tabletop exercises to prepare for potential security incidents.
  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring of security alerts, vulnerabilities, and brand protection issues in the SOC to ensure timely detection and response.
  • Security Tools Implementation & Monitoring: Work closely with IT teams to implement and monitor various security tools to maintain a secure environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Risk Assessment: Develop audit checklists, provide staff training, and implement necessary tools to assess and manage vendor risks.
  • Data & Cloud Security: Implement security solutions for network monitoring and ensure data is protected at rest and in transit.
  • ISMS & BCMS: Establish and maintain information security management systems (ISMS) and business continuity management systems (BCMS) to ensure seamless operations in the face of disruptions.
  • Regulatory Audits & Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements by staying up-to-date with changing laws and standards.
  • Information Security Awareness: Create training modules to educate employees and vendors on cybersecurity best practices and promote a culture of awareness within the organization.
  • SOC Monitoring: Provide training on monitoring SOC alerts and ensuring timely responses.
  • Security Tools Implementation & Monitoring: Implement various security tools to maintain a secure environment as per organizational requirements.
