Assistant Production Manager

  • Operational excellence is crucial for our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate production to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.
  2. Develop and implement production plans, scheduling, and monitoring to meet targets and deadlines.
  3. Review and prepare production documents in line with quality guidelines.
  4. Oversee the execution of approved manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  5. Lead quality assessments and address customer complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  6. Supervise and train production personnel to foster a disciplined working environment.
  7. Manage the complete production cycle, including resource allocation, productivity, and cost control.
  8. Collaborate with warehouse, quality control, and procurement teams for efficient workflow.
  9. Communicate with vendors and manage outsourced production to ensure timely delivery.
  10. Maintain and monitor inventory of raw materials and manage stock procurement.
  11. Prepare and analyze production reports, cycle times, and capacity utilization.
  12. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain operational harmony on the production floor.
  13. Support production planning, budgeting, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of core production experience in leather accessories within an export house environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; graduates from premier institutions preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of production processes, time and action calendars (TNA), and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and people-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing fabrics, trims, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of punctuality, dedication, and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Medically fit.
