Senior IT Executive

The Indian Institute of Art and Design invites applications for a Senior IT Executive to join their Information Technology Team.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of the university's technology infrastructure and services. A blend of technical support, system administration, and project coordination is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily IT operations including network availability, server performance, and system uptime.
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, printers) and software issues for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Manage day-to-day IT tasks and user requests ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Network & Infrastructure Management:
  • Assist in administering and maintaining the university's wired and wireless networks (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches).
  • Monitor network performance troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure network security.
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure including physical and virtual servers.
  • Oversee data backup and recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Software & System Administration:
  • Administer and support key university applications including Learning Management Systems Enterprise Resource Planning systems Student Information Systems and other academic/administrative software.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Online for email services.
  • Manage user accounts permissions and access controls across various platforms.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect university data and systems from threats.
  • Monitor security alerts conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness among university users.
Project Management & Coordination:
  • Lead or assist in planning execution and completion of IT projects such as system upgrades infrastructure improvements and new technology rollouts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
