Procurement Specialist Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Operations and Procurement expert to develop and implement effective procurement strategies, source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic procurement plans
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure best terms and conditions
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Optimize inventory levels and manage inventory turnover
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs

Skill sets:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with suppliers
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and MS Office
