Mortgage Origination Manager Role

Job Summary:

This leadership position oversees all aspects of mortgage origination, encompassing post-closing review, correspondent experience, and the entire value chain for US Home Loan products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the day-to-day management, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews for Junior Loan Officers (JLs)
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of RESPA/TRID review and other federal, state, and industry compliance requirements
  • Engage professionally with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and mortgage lenders to ensure successful closings
  • Elevate customer service by assisting with applications, overseeing mortgage loan closings, and expediting post-closing requirements
  • Ensure future salability and quality control of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to lender underwriting guidelines and federal regulations
  • Develop high-quality coaching and training for new and existing staff
  • Utilize quality assurance data to improve lender decision-making
  • Identify gaps and document processes and procedures
  • Create a reporting suite for clear communication of performance to team members, peers, management, and Executive Leadership
  • Demonstrate expertise in monitoring and overseeing the loan production pipeline
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for the department
  • Prepare and deliver action plans or correction actions when individual metrics are not met
  • Foster ongoing and complete communication of key initiatives, deliverables, and expectations across team members, peers, managers, and Executive Leadership
  • Manage administrative tasks of the department (timecards, schedules, vacations, performance reviews)
  • Continuously review processes and identify areas for improvement
