About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Lead Application/Production Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical support and expertise to our applications.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for application support, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and optimal system performance.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
  1. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations, utilizing your expertise in AWS and Unix/Linux environments.
  2. Provide timely updates to stakeholders on incident status, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
Documentation and Knowledge Management
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and changes in production environment, leveraging ITIL processes for efficient knowledge management.
  • Create and update support documentation, knowledge base articles, and SOPs to ensure consistency and accessibility.
Change Management and Release Support
  • Assist in planning and execution of application releases and updates, conducting impact assessments for proposed changes to production systems.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, driving innovation and excellence in application support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 8+ years experience supporting business applications, with proven expertise in software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and proficiency in troubleshooting Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of programming languages scripting languages Shell Python etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
