Job Title:

Kubernetes Cluster Operations Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes cluster operations engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, setting up, and managing Kubernetes clusters on-premises using Nutanix.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available Kubernetes clusters
  • Configure cluster lifecycle tasks such as upgrades, scaling, high availability, and disaster recovery
  • Automate cluster setup and configuration using tools like kubeadm, Helm, and Ansible
  • Implement RBAC, pod security policies, network policies, and secrets
  • Configure production-ready networking (CNI), storage (CSI), ingress controllers, and RBAC
  • Lead root cause analysis for performance problems, failures, or outages
  • Set up and integrate monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
  • Troubleshoot issues to keep the cluster stable and always available
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to deploy microservices

Requirements:
  • 6-9 years of experience in Kubernetes cluster operations
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization
  • Experience with cluster management tools like kubeadm, Helm, and Ansible
  • Knowledge of RBAC, pod security policies, network policies, and secrets
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
