Telecommunications Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned telecommunications engineer to lead our technology systems team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to various clients across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and publish telecommunications designs to support projects
  • Undertake detailed designs relating to ICT & Telecommunications Systems, including structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modelling, RF systems, and technology platforms
  • Prepare reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable tendering of works
  • Liaise with other engineers, vendors, and contractors throughout the project duration
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers within a multi-discipline design team

Requirements:

  • Master of Engineering in electronic, computer systems, or telecommunications course of study or Master of Science in Information Technology (Networks)
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Past experience in mentoring preferred
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and Telecommunications designs
  • Underpinning knowledge of network design principles and significant experience working in critical environments
