About the Role

This dual-hatted position brings together Scrum Master and Business Analyst responsibilities, demanding an in-depth understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives, to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Promote Agile/Scrum best practices among team members, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient problem-solving.
  • Address impediments promptly, ensuring a self-organizing team dynamic and high productivity.
  • Track and communicate key performance indicators such as velocity and burndown to stakeholders, providing transparent progress updates.
  • Closely collaborate with Team, Business, and Stakeholders to maintain a well-organized backlog, reflecting business needs accurately.
Business Analyst Tasks:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data warehouse and data services projects, driving project success.
  • Translate complex business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, facilitating smooth project execution.
  • Work closely with data architects, engineers, and QA to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately, minimizing errors.
  • Develop process flows, data mappings, and other documentation to support project delivery.
  • Spearhead data quality initiatives and contribute to defining data governance standards, enhancing overall data integrity.
  • Support user acceptance testing and validation of data solutions, ensuring they meet business expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, serving as a solid foundation for this role.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a technical environment, showcasing leadership skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data warehousing, data analytics, or data services, highlighting expertise in business analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ability to leverage them effectively.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, enabling strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, bridging the gap between business and technical teams.
  • Optional but desirable - Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent), demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools is a plus, expanding skill sets.
