Cloud Data Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Data Infrastructure Specialist to manage our cloud-based data infrastructure. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and security of our cloud data systems.

  • Administer and maintain scalable cloud environments and applications for data organization, leveraging AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, and S3.
  • Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Extensive database experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift, AWS Relational Database Service (RDS), and MySQL is required.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and database troubleshooting is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of best practices for usability and performance of databases, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance.
  • Knowledge of day-to-day database operations, deployments, and development is required.
  • Experienced in Snowflake, Linux Shell Scripting or Python, SQL, and Performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot system hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Incident and change management, Release management, and Code deployment.
  • After-hour on-call support, Testing disaster recovery policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 6 years of experience in System, Platform, and AWS Cloud Administration.
  • 4 years of Database administration using latest AWS technologies – AWS Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, NLB, VPC etc.
  • AWS Solution Architect certifications preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
