Senior Cloud Operations Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned system architect to join our team and take on the challenge of designing robust cloud infrastructure, efficient monitoring systems, and high-availability focused mitigations.

This is an opportunity for you to utilize your software development, system administration, and DevOps practices skills in empowering users with rich features, high availability, and stellar performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.

  2. Monitor the production environment by maintaining availability and taking a holistic view of system health.

  3. Measure and optimize system performance to push capabilities forward and get ahead of customer needs.

  4. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions.

  5. Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications.

  6. Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to production incidents and resolve them with minimal downtime.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

  • 8-12 years of software industry experience with at least 4 years in SRE role.

  • Ability to design cloud infrastructure on AWS cloud for software products.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with container management technology (Docker, Kubernetes, Yarn, ECS, EKS).

  • Knowledge of monitoring infrastructure and visualization tools like Prometheus and Grafana.

  • AWS certification in SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect.

  • Proactive approach to identifying problems and performance bottlenecks.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive mindset.

  • Coaching and mentoring skills to influence product teams to adhere to cloud best practices.
