We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing complex mechanical systems and equipment. You will work closely with customers and the marketing team to determine design requirements, plan and execute the design of precision mechanical equipment, develop and test prototypes, and collaborate with the manufacturing teams to ensure that design specifications are met.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a talented engineer who is passionate about solving problems in engineering design and participating in industry development. You should possess a strong analytical and critical thinking mindset, as well as a detailed knowledge of engineering and design principles. Additionally, you should be able to find creative solutions to technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Meet with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.">
  3. Collaborate with Project Managers to determine project requirements.">
  4. Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems.">
  5. Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.">
  6. Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.">
  7. Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.">
  8. Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.">
  9. Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.">
  10. Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.">
  11. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.">

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.">
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a mechanical design engineer.">
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino etc.">
  • Solid knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.">
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.">
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.">
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.">
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded.">
  • Ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.">
  • Prior experience in design engineering of meter mix machines, dispensing equipment, pumps, and hand tools is preferred.">
