Oil and Gas Data Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Oil and Gas Data Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ingesting, processing, and storing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including IoT devices, sensors, ERP systems, drilling logs, and production data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services.
  • Ingest and process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Implement data lake and data warehouse solutions.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists, and business analysts to translate Oil and Gas business requirements into data solutions.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security compliance.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AWS services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Lake Formation.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python, or SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of data lake and modern data architecture.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
