Manufacturing Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

Your primary focus will be on architecting and implementing real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions. You will also ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, and MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms.

You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs. Your technical leadership skills will be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, and SPC. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent is also required.

Familiarity with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT, OPC UA, industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity is essential. Knowledge of manufacturing standards such as ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443, and experience with cloudbased IIoT platforms like Azure IoT and AWS IoT are highly desirable.

Achieving high availability and performance in industrial databases, historian, and timeseries databases is critical to this role. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
