Electrical BIM Modeling Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Modeler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality Electrical BIM models using various software tools such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

  • Preparation of Electrical BIM Models with varying levels of detailing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Preparing all types of Electrical 2D and 3D drawings from Revit models under the supervision of a Senior BIM Modeler/Engineer.
  • Creation of Electrical power circuits and schedules, utilizing expertise in software applications.
  • Clash detection and coordination using Navisworks, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Taking responsibility for technical quality assurance, client feedback, and effective communication of any changes/modifications.
  • Collaboration and coordination with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges.
  • Proactive engagement with regional offices/teams regarding issue resolution and relationship development.
  • Liaising with and assisting the design professional and BIM Manager/Coordinator.
  • Adherence to project schedules and quality requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Adherence to BIM Execution Plans and project workflow criteria.
  • Following BIM content standards and development procedures.
  • Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Software Expectations:

  • Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
  • General understanding of interoperability between software used for discipline tasks.
  • Knowledge of Design Automation is an added advantage.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Competencies:

  • Sound technical knowledge, academically good.
  • Awareness of software used for BIM modeling.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new work/challenges as per business requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or BE Electrical/ITI Draftsman from a recognized University.

Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
