Job Description:

This role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the region. As a regional HSEQ Specialist at Brunel, you will play a pivotal role in promoting well-being, health, and safety for all Brunel staff in the region.

You are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring programs and policies to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

This position requires collaboration with regional colleagues as well as with the Executive Leadership Team to discuss and advise on reporting, improvement plans, and lessons learned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement regional HSEQ policies and procedures in alignment with global policies.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on HSEQ performance and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HSEQ practices and implement changes.
  • Review and complete HSE related tender items.
  • Develop and test emergency response plans to handle crises such as fires, chemical spills, or natural disasters.
  • Support the injury management process when an employee or contractor sustains an injury at work.
  • Lead ISO 9001 certification efforts and ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities heading the Global Safety Committee

  1. You will head and facilitate regular meetings with global HSEQ stakeholders to drive our mission and advise the ELT on the HSEQ agenda and action plans.
  2. You will collaborate with the global team to:
  • Implement Emergency response through crisis management.
  • Ensure global policies are set up and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure global mandatory trainings are updated.
  • Use a safety management system to register data and report HSEQ performance.
  • Promote accurate incident reporting and safety awareness globally.
  • Embed HSEQ practices throughout the globe.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure HSEQ compliance according to relevant guidelines and regulations.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
