Job Title: Freelance Head - Business Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our business development efforts in the petrochemicals and oil rig sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and pursuing strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the petrochemicals vertical, with a focus on oil rigs and exploration assets.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams – legal, finance, technical – to execute deals smoothly.
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.
  • Represent the company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align expansion strategies with overall business goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
