Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure data privacy controls to prevent AI model training on sensitive data, enforcing zero-retention policies.
  • Deliver comprehensive audit logs, compliance reporting, and monitoring for OpenAI usage, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Implement robust guardrails and moderation tools, including fine-tuned safety layers, to enhance security and reliability.
  • Track and analyze model performance metrics, producing regular reports for leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Optimize prompt engineering and evaluate cost/performance trade-offs to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to API calls, latency, and integration failures.
  • Maintain an internal admin guide with setup/configuration steps, governance rules, and best practices for AI tool management.
  • Develop knowledge bases and wikis for developers and end users to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Deliver training sessions for IT staff to expand their expertise in managing OpenAI tools.
  • Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for OpenAI-related incidents, providing expert-level support.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure safe and responsible AI use across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in AI applications engineering or a related role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AI tools, particularly Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy controls and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in configuring AI tool environments securely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience delivering training and creating documentation.
