Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely consolidated/standalone books of accounts & financial reports.

They must ensure the review and issuance of Consolidated and Standalone Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity and Notes to accounts as per Indian accounting standards and Schedule III as a part of the period-end close process to the requisite stakeholders.

Compliance with SEBI LODR guidelines is also a requirement.

Data for RPT compliance must be ensured.

Critical aspects such as ESOP, Business combinations, Trade deposits, etc. must be accounted for.

High standards of accuracy must be maintained in representation of financial data and timely error-free statutory financial reporting ensured.

The Related Party Transactions Schedule/reconciliation at period-end must be reviewed and approved to ensure accurate consolidation of financials.

The consolidated reports and reason analysis for key variances must be reviewed before circulation.

Internal and external auditors must be assisted with smooth query resolution for issues related to consolidation by giving complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests.

Recommendations to improve the current Consolidation process by reducing overall Turn-Around-Time (TAT) of the process to improve reporting speed and efficiency are required.

A 'customer centric' and 'partnership approach' must be adopted to develop strong relationships with other working groups.

Error-resolution must be performed to high standards, within reasonable timeframes, and with end-user satisfaction in mind.

Effective participation in the team and facilitation of building a strong team culture are expected.

Fixed Asset Register maintenance and coordination in physical verification of assets are also responsibilities.

Working of lease accounting as per IND AS 116, control and review of Lease asset schedule are duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial reporting process preferably in same/similar industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP S4 HANA – ERP system.
  • Sound understanding of various Financial Accounting Standards (local and global) and Accounting Principles.
  • Expert in tools and systems for Financial Consolidation.
  • SAP knowledge is strongly recommended.
