  • The role involves managing and maintaining Oracle Exadata systems, ensuring high performance and availability. This includes configuring networks and storage in the data centre and virtualized environments, as well as creating, deploying, and managing virtual machines.
  • Experience with Oracle Engineered Systems, including OCM, Exadata, Exalogic, Exalytics, ODA, Oracle SuperCluster, PCA, and ZFS appliance is essential.
  • Knowledge of operating system administration, including networking, kernel parameters, partitioning, file system management, and VM creation/resizing is a must.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA), Data Guard, large systems implementation or support of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Oracle VM/Virtualization is required.
  • Responsibilities include backup and recovery strategies on Exalogic Machines, Exadata storage cell, Infiniband, Flash Cache, PDU, KVM, monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Configuring and using ILOM, and configuring Exalogic Server with Exadata Server and knowledge of Infinite band network connectivity are necessary skills.
  • Monitoring various components using OEM and performing system administration activities with respect to Exalogic Server Administration, applying patches, configuring and allocating resources, monitoring hardware and software components.
  • Installing, configuring, and Weblogic Server on Exalogic servers, Weblogic cluster configuration and administration experience is also required.
  • A strong understanding of ASMCMD, IORM, DBFS, Flash Cache, DCLI, ADRCI utilities is necessary for this role.
  • Applying Oracle critical/ Exadata/ rollup Patch Sets for operating System/ Grid/ ASM/ Infiniband/ Database is an essential skill.
  • Resolving real-time issues, tuning the environment for performance issues, coordinating with Oracle Vendor support for Hardware replacements, and resource planning and user management are key responsibilities.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams in pressure environments, communicate business value, and manage client relationships are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required.
