Job Title: Piping Stress Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform stress analysis and design pipe supports for above-ground and underground pipelines using Caesar II software.
  • Identify the necessary data to perform surge analysis at each project stage, utilizing relevant technical knowledge.
  • Conduct thorough surge analysis of metallic and non-metallic piping systems using PIPENET software.
  • Determine the appropriateness of extracted surge forces from PIPENET, considering factors like safety and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed surge analysis reports for submission to employers as official deliverables.
  • Analyze processes and systems to mitigate pressure surges resulting from various events, providing recommendations.
  • Review technical aspects of stress analysis and pipe support calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and safe design practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors to obtain accurate pipe properties for stress analysis, applying technical expertise.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of applicable design codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).
  • Develop job execution plans, work instructions, and standard drawings based on ITB requirements, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Evaluate man-hours for projects and proposals, allocating tasks to engineers and monitoring progress effectively.
  • Control project schedules, quality, and budgeted man-hours, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Interact with clients, PMCs, and vendors to resolve key issues and address concerns.
  • Monitor and adhere to technical requirements and deliverables according to ITB/contract specifications, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
