Workplace Auditor and Compliance Specialist

The Responsible Mica Initiative is a coalition of organizations working to promote a fair, responsible, and sustainable mica supply chain in India and Madagascar.

This role will support RMI's activities in India, focusing on the Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh regions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gap assessments of mica processors and mines against RMI's Global Workplace Standard.
  • Support processors and mine owners in implementing corrective action plans and monitor progress.
  • Liaise with external auditing companies to ensure compliance with RMI standards.
  • Develop training content for auditors and conduct online or face-to-face training sessions.
  • Perform quality checks on audit reports and analyze data to build presentations for team members.

District Level Advocacy in Rajasthan (20%):

  • Build relationships with local district governmental officers/authorities and regularly update them on RMI's progress.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in International Development, Business, Engineer/Mining, Social Auditing, or related field.
  • Experience in supply chain social and environmental auditing, sustainability standards, and mining standards.
  • Knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulations, Industrial EHS requirements, Quality and Production systems.
  • Proven experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
