Investment Manager - Portfolio Operations

The role of Investment Manager is a key position in the organization, responsible for overseeing and executing investment strategies across multiple portfolio companies. As an experienced professional with a proven track record in venture capital and private equity, you will be instrumental in driving growth and value creation within our portfolio.

  • Lead structured monthly and quarterly reviews to track KPIs and assess performance across revenue, org design, GTM execution, hiring, and cash flow.
  • Collaborate with founding teams to build and challenge AOPs and hiring plans, ensuring alignment and accountability.
  • Identify and address underperformance early on, recommending interventions to senior leadership.
  • Support downstream rounds by developing materials, narrative, and investor calibration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high-touch relationships with founding teams, pushing for accountability without overstepping.
  • Navigate difficult founder dynamics with maturity and clarity, acting as the first escalation point for operational fire drills.
  • Lead analyst team members in tracking and interpreting portfolio data, ensuring accurate and timely output.
  • Drive reporting discipline, deadline adherence, and performance visibility.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or cross-stage fund investing.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of 5+ companies, including KPI and founder oversight.
  • Experience supporting AOP planning, follow-on fundraising, or company turnarounds.
  • Closed at least 2 investments end-to-end on the buy-side.
  • MBA or CA required, or strong proof of financial modeling, AOP structuring, and decision-prep ownership.

  • Fixed annual salary of ₹20,00,000.
  • Confirmed annual retention bonus of ₹3,25,000 (paid every 12 months).
  • ESOP grant annually: ₹3,25,000 (each annual grant comes with its own vesting schedule).
  • Performance bonus based on portfolio success and personal execution.
  • Carry participation disclosed during the final interview stage.
