Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Description:

  • Test Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements and product specifications.
    • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Bug Identification & Reporting:
    • Identify, document, and report defects using an issue tracking system.
    • Provide detailed defect descriptions and steps to reproduce for the development team.
    • Re-test fixed defects to confirm resolution.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
    • Actively participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, providing updates on testing progress.
  • Test Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain and update test cases, test scripts, and test documentation to ensure proper tracking of testing efforts.
    • Prepare regular test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Provide feedback on processes and workflows to improve the overall quality assurance process.
    • Stay updated with the latest QA practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in writing detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
    • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and different testing methodologies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
