About the Role

You'll be working closely with our development team on the space data analytics product Orbitfy, exploring diverse applications and collaborating with the CTO on product strategy.

Our data science team is at the forefront of product development, providing space-derived insights as the foundation for key stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop sophisticated computer vision models for satellite imagery, pushing the boundaries of edge AI.
  • Fine-tune deep learning models for efficient deployment on constrained platforms.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work with GIS engineers, software teams, and product managers to integrate ML solutions into Orbitfy's pipeline.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in Edge AI, ML, and remote sensing, translating them into practical solutions for space applications.
  • Analyze complex datasets from diverse sensors, designing robust preprocessing, augmentation, and feature extraction workflows.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate the robustness, reliability, and reproducibility of solutions through systematic testing, benchmarking, and validation.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years in data science, with demonstrated hands-on experience in computer vision, image processing, or machine learning.
  • Strong proficiency in Python; experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV.
  • General software engineering expertise: cloud infrastructure, Docker, git best practices, etc.
  • Familiarity with satellite imagery and remote sensing is a plus, but not required if you have a strong ML background.
