IB PYP Leader

We are seeking a visionary and experienced educator to lead the development and implementation of our Primary Years Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience for students.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers to foster a culture of inquiry and reflection, promoting academic excellence and student growth.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in developing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff, focusing on best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP, its benefits, and how it supports student success.
  • Coordinate and support student assessments, maintaining accurate records as per IB requirements, while ensuring fairness and equity in evaluation.
  • Stay up-to-date with IB developments and changes, ensuring the school's adherence to IB standards and its commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization, promoting collaboration and mutual respect.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching, with a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth, with a focus on improving teaching practices and enhancing student outcomes.
