Finance Expert Role

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled finance professional with extensive experience in financial strategy development, reporting, and control functions.

  1. Develop comprehensive financial strategies to drive organizational growth and success.
  2. Collaborate closely with senior management to provide expert financial guidance on strategic planning and investment decisions.
  3. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and strategic plans, identifying key areas for improvement.
  4. Design and implement robust internal controls and audit frameworks to ensure optimal risk management.
  5. Lead the evaluation, selection and implementation of world-class financial systems, ensuring seamless integration and data migration.
  6. Manage cash flow and investments effectively, establishing strong banking relationships and mitigating foreign exchange risks.
  7. Evaluate and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and accounting standards, guaranteeing accurate and transparent financial reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is mandatory.
  • Professional accounting certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in auditing, finance and accounting roles, with at least 5-7 years in a senior management position.
  • Proven track record in establishing effective financial audit systems and implementing best-in-class financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other relevant international accounting standards.
  • Experience managing grants and project funding from multiple donors.
  • Expert knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices, proficiency in using financial management systems and strong analytical skills.
