Forensic Medicine Faculty

We are seeking an exceptional academic with expertise in Forensic Medicine to contribute to the excellence of our academic programs. This faculty position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in teaching, research, and medico-legal practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Academic & Teaching:
    • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, delivering high-quality education through lectures, practical sessions, autopsy demonstrations, seminars, and tutorials.
    • Guide postgraduate students in dissertation work, case discussions, and journal clubs, integrating forensic principles with clinical and legal practice.
    • Update curriculum and teaching materials according to NMC guidelines, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Research & Publications:
    • Undertake and guide original research projects in forensic pathology, toxicology, medical jurisprudence, and allied fields, collaborating with other departments for interdisciplinary research.
    • Publish research papers in reputable national and international indexed journals, supporting Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate thesis work.
  • Clinical / Medico-Legal Work:
    • Supervise and conduct medicolegal autopsies and postmortem examinations, providing expert medico-legal opinion in criminal and civil cases.
    • Ensure proper documentation, preservation of samples, and medico-legal record maintenance, liaising with law enforcement and judiciary as required.
  • Administrative & Leadership:
    • Organize academic events such as conferences, workshops, and training programs, managing departmental records, museum specimens, and laboratory facilities.
    • Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and institutional policies, serving as Head/Coordinator of the Department (for Professors).
