Accounting and Taxation Expert

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and taxation, with expertise in DATEV, the leading German accounting software. They should have a thorough understanding of German accounting principles and experience supporting tax office closings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks using DATEV software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare financial records and reports according to German accounting standards, maintaining compliance and transparency.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, guaranteeing timely submission to the German Tax Office.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Reconcile accounts, manage ledgers, and maintain data integrity to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist in audit preparation to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay updated with relevant changes in German tax laws and accounting regulations to remain compliant.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using DATEV accounting software.
  • Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and tax filing processes.
  • Experience in preparing documentation for tax office closings.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
  • English proficiency required for effective communication.
