Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cobol Programming:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Cobol applications that meet business requirements, ensuring high-performance batch and online processing.
  • Create and test Cobol code for efficient data retrieval and insertion into databases.
JCL (Job Control Language):
  • Create and maintain JCL scripts to manage batch jobs for data processing, optimizing job scheduling and error handling.
DB2 (Database):
  • Design and develop DB2 queries to interact with databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method):
  • Work with VSAM files to store and retrieve data efficiently, ensuring seamless interaction between Cobol programs and VSAM files.
CICS (Customer Information Control System):
  • Develop and maintain CICS-based applications, ensuring seamless communication between online programs and data resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Mainframe Cobol Development: Minimum 6 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing Cobol applications.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, Agile Methodology, and Banking Domain Knowledge.
  3. Agile Methodology: Participation in Agile ceremonies, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and delivery of features incrementally.
  4. Banking Domain Knowledge: Developing software that aligns with banking regulations, business processes, and security standards.
