About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed test plans and strategy documents to define testing scope and approach.
  • Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test cases.
  • Prepare and execute test data, submitting jobs and analyzing results.
  • Report issues and collaborate with development and support teams for error resolution.
  • Participate in professional development programs to enhance skills.
  • Provide expertise to colleagues in relevant domains.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in the testing lifecycle process, including test case creation, execution, and data preparation.
  • Familiarity with editing JCL or creating JCL to submit test batch jobs.
  • Awareness of TSO/ISPF commands on mainframes.
  • Ability to analyze logs in spool for abended jobs and provide root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in editing mainframe files using layouts and copybooks via FileAid.
  • Verification of database in DB2 or output files to ensure accurate outputs.
  • Test data preparation according to testing requirements.
