Job Title: Data Engineer Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL workflows.
  • Build and manage scalable data architectures and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and governance.
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs.
  • Optimize performance of data systems, queries, and storage solutions.
  • Implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows and schemas.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data engineering and cloud technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar data infrastructure role.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
