Compliance Officer Job Description

The role of Compliance Officer involves ensuring the company adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains a strong compliance culture. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the company's reputation and trust with customers, stakeholders, and regulators.

  • Regulatory Submissions: Ensure timely submission of periodic regulatory reports to the relevant authorities, in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Submission Processes: Aware of submission processes for new business, schedules, Service Providers (SPs), complaints, financial statements, and compliance certificates.
  • Regulatory Registers: Maintain accurate regulatory registers in coordination with business units and BIU teams.
  • Regulator Communication: Communicate effectively with regulators as per regulations, including branch data, directorship changes, and levied charges.
  • Salesperson Tracking: Update the IIB Envoy Portal with salesperson and SP details, tracking and reviewing periodically.
  • License Renewal: Renew licenses for CA/ISNP/Envoy, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining repositories.
  • Ex-Sp Exit Process: Issue NOCs for exited SPs, detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy, and record keeping.
  • Telemarketing Licenses: Apply for telemarketing licenses and submit regulatory data as per guidelines.
  • IRDAI Data Management: Renew IRDAI CA licenses, PO, ISNP, Envoy, and other licenses, tracking and renewing with stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Checklists: Maintain regulatory checklists, tracking IRDAI data, registers, timely submissions, grievances, and reconciliations.
  • Finance Coordination: Coordinate finance, product teams, and insurers for reconciliation sign-off and gap follow-up.
  • Agreement Tracking: Track agreements, SLAs, and commission structures for insurers.
  • Grievance Management: Manage grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinate resolutions with business, product, and branch teams.
  • Audit Support: Provide audit checklists and track audit resolutions for branches.
  • AML Compliance Checks: Conduct compliance checks on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) cases.
  • Insurance Litigation: Bookkeep insurance litigation cases, updating regulators as needed.
