Job Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer(Lead)

Job Overview:

  • This role requires at least 6 years of experience in data engineering or cloud computing data development.
  • The successful candidate will design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala), AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Responsibilities include working with structured and unstructured data to build scalable ingestion and transformation workflows across cloud platforms.
  • The ideal candidate will build data lake and data warehouse solutions using AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, AWS Glue.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and application developers is essential for supporting advanced analytics, reporting, and ML workflows.
  • Implementation of job orchestration, monitoring, and error handling for reliable pipeline execution is also required.
  • Maintenance and support of Data Pipeline are additional responsibilities.
  • Monitoring data load and performing data validation and quality checks are key tasks.
  • Consultation with customers to identify and optimize ingestion pipelines is necessary.
  • Data: L2/L3 Support involves troubleshooting issues related to data processing.
  • Investigating Glue job failures and restarting jobs is a critical task.
  • Resolving minor transformation logic or input data issues and fixing dependency failures in Glue workflows are essential skills.
  • Tuning job configurations is also necessary.
  • Conducting impact analysis and root cause analysis (RCA) is a requirement.
  • Support for an 8x5 support model is necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant fields such as BCA, MCA, MSC, etc. is desirable.
