Sustainable Industrial Automation Specialist

About This Role

This is a high-impact position in our team, responsible for designing and implementing industrial automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Develop real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions that enhance production efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems through secure data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, including SQL historian and timeseries databases, for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0 and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADAMES deployments to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Mandatory Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, including scripting module configuration and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs for system interconnectivity, MQTT for IIoT messaging, and OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
