Job Description

The role of Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition is to drive talent acquisition for our foreign university’s campuses in India. This involves leveraging a strong understanding of the education landscape and networks across institutions to identify and engage high-quality candidates.

As a seasoned HR professional, you will partner with hiring managers, business heads, and university leadership to understand workforce needs and design effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building a high-performing workforce that embodies our university's values and fuels its growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Talent Acquisition Strategy: Partner with hiring managers, business heads, and university leadership to understand workforce needs and design effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Sourcing & Talent Pipeline: Leverage multiple sourcing channels (job portals, referrals, social media, academic networks, and talent pools) to identify and engage high-quality candidates. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive talent for current and future roles.
  3. Candidate Experience: Drive an engaging and seamless recruitment journey from first interaction to onboarding, ensuring candidates experience professionalism and transparency at every stage.
  4. Employer Branding & Job Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to craft compelling job descriptions and promote openings through relevant channels, strengthening the employer brand in the education and EdTech sectors.
  5. Data-Driven Recruitment: Track and analyse recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness, optimize processes, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  6. Compliance & Governance: Ensure recruitment practices are compliant with employment laws, UGC guidelines, and organizational policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment documentation.
  7. Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with people managers and leadership to support the people agenda—fostering collaboration, morale, productivity, and retention.
  8. Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor hiring strategies, and best practices to position the organization competitively in the talent market.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 6+ years of recruitment experience, with a strong focus in managing Talent acquisition portfolio.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRMS, and other recruitment software/tools.
  • Proven track record of building high performing teams from scratch and scaling recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
