About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for data analysis, problem-solving, and research.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting data cleaning, wrangling, and pre-processing for financial datasets, as well as assisting investment teams in equity research, fixed income research, portfolio management, and economic analysis.

You will also apply statistical techniques to financial problems such as credit risk modelling, probability of default, and value-at-risk estimation, and work with big data sources including financial reports, macroeconomic datasets, and alternative investment data.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. A basic knowledge of Excel, Python, or R is desirable but not essential, as we provide training and support to help you develop your skills.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data science, working on cutting-edge projects and collaborating with experienced professionals in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data cleaning, wrangling, and pre-processing for financial datasets.
