Key Plant Operations Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations of the plant. This critical role is responsible for managing production planning, ensuring quality control, and leading a team to meet all operational targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day plant operations including production planning, maintenance, quality control, and resource allocation.
  • Developing and managing production schedules to meet volume, cost, and quality targets.
  • Ensuring products meet established quality standards and actively addressing deviations.
  • Enforcing and promoting adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives leveraging Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or other lean methodologies.
  • Recruiting, training, supervising, and mentoring plant supervisors and personnel.
  • Developing and managing operational budgets; optimizing cost through resource planning and efficiency.
  • Tracking key metrics (e.g., OEE, man-hour costs, production yield) and initiating corrective actions.
  • Collaborating closely with procurement, logistics, quality, engineering, and R&D teams.
  • Presenting regular operational performance updates and improvement proposals to senior management.
  • Ensuring uptime via preventive maintenance and timely troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of plant operations and production management.
  • Expertise in lean methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • Experience in budgeting and cost optimization.
  • Proven ability to track and analyze key performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality control.
  • Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance management.
