We are seeking a skilled Associate to join our team in Hyderabad, focusing on Indirect Tax Litigation.
Responsibilities:- Assist clients in responding to departmental inquiries, investigations, and audits.
- Prepare replies to show-cause notices and audit responses.
- Meet with tax officers for hearings as required.
- Prepare tax appeals for submission to the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and Courts (Tribunal, High Court / Supreme Court).
- Support seniors in representing clients before various judicial forums.
- Conduct comprehensive research on various topics.
- Identify and discuss technical issues with clients while considering firm risk factors.
- Handle tax matters involving submissions, notice replies, appeals, and meetings with tax authorities.
- Execute work on multiple client bases, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
- Develop rapport with middle-level client management.
- Stay up-to-date with firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
- Apply this knowledge to deliver solutions to clients and bring value to their businesses.
- Network internally and identify opportunities for existing clients.
- Communicate new opportunities to senior staff.
- Stay current with the latest developments in tax laws and other relevant areas.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge management activities.
