Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our surveillance function and safeguard regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the investigation of alerts, suspicious trades, and breaches; ensure timely escalation to relevant stakeholders, identify emerging risks in trading patterns, market behavior, or operational processes; recommend preventive measures.
  • Develop, test, and deploy advanced surveillance systems, creating a robust framework for monitoring and analytics. Drive the selection, implementation, and enhancement of cutting-edge surveillance platforms, tools, and AI-based monitoring systems.
  • Foster a high-performing surveillance team through effective leadership, mentorship, and skill enhancement initiatives in regulatory and analytical domains.
  • Benchmark against global best practices; introduce process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Present regular surveillance reports, risk dashboards, and key metrics to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Establish and periodically update comprehensive surveillance policies, escalation protocols, and investigation frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines; serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory queries and inspections.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Business teams to ensure integrated risk management and swift issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • MBA (in finance) , CA, CS
  • Minimum relevant experience of 5 - 10+ years.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in equity and equity derivatives markets
  • Proficiency in tools and programming used for analysis and report creation.
