Job Title: Deputy Director – Menswear Buying

About this Critical Role:

  • Develop Strategic Procurement Plans and Policies
  • Lead and Oversee the Buying Team to Ensure Timely Acquisition of Goods and Services.
  • Negotiate Contracts with Suppliers to Secure Favorable Terms and Pricing.
  • Monitor Market Trends and Supplier Performance to Make Informed Buying Decisions.
  • Collaborate with Internal Departments to Align Buying Activities with Organizational Objectives.
  • Implement Cost-Saving Initiatives and Drive Efficiency in the Buying Process.
  • Evaluate Vendor Capabilities and Maintain Relationships to Support Long-Term Partnerships.

Requirements:

  • A Minimum of 10-15 Years Experience in Apparel Buying and Product Development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a Related Field is Preferred.
  • Professional Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g. CSCP, CPSM) is a Plus.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills and Proven Experience in Vendor Management are Essential.
  • Excellent Analytical Abilities and Decision-Making Capabilities are Required.
  • Effective Communication and Leadership Skills are Necessary for Managing a Buying Team Successfully.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Sourcing Strategies and Industry Best Practices is Desired.
  • Proficiency in Procurement Software and Tools for Data Analysis and Reporting is Expected.
