Financial Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee general accounting operations and control financial transactions.
This role involves reconciling account balances, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful candidate combines analytical skills with knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Prepare financial statements
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Plan, assign, and review staff's work
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes to maintain internal controls
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) will be preferred
- General computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook)
- Accounting tools: Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Multitasking capacity
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
